Rental structures
Daily, weekly, monthly and long-term project contracts each price risk differently. Machine-only hire is cheaper but shifts operator certification and daily checks to you; operated hire bundles both.
Documentation and compliance
Insist on third-party inspection, load test and operator certificates, a VAT-compliant invoice and clear insurance terms. In the Kingdom these documents are audited routinely on major sites.
Avoiding disputes
The three recurring disputes are transport charges, fuel responsibility and damage assessment on return. Agree all three in writing, and photograph the machine at delivery and collection.
